Meet Ashley

Principal artist and designer Ashley Houston is a South Carolina native, where she spent most of her childhood exploring the state’s southern landscapes. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina, which led her to Atlanta, GA in pursuit of her Juris Doctorate. After nearly 7 years of the big city life Atlanta had to offer, she relocated to Savannah. There she served as Studio Manager and Junior Designer within one of the low country’s most prestigious and award winning design firms.

After three years in Savannah, Ashley returned home to South Carolina along with her husband and two young daughters. As a busy mom, Ashley knows the value of an efficient yet comfortable home. She’s learned that with careful design and planning, a charming, inspired space can also be functional. Her professional background allows Ashley to keep each design project on track and on budget.

Meet Cora

After completing her course work in design from the Interior Design Institute, Cora joined The Houston House. As a junior designer and studio manager, Cora manages the studio’s receiving, ordering and fine details. She is an essential part of client care and relationships. Cora’s design training is an asset to the firm’s project research, development, and implementation.

Welcome to the Houston House

The Houston House is led by principal artist and designer, Ashley Houston. Originally from South Carolina, she holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina and pursued her Juris Doctorate in Atlanta, GA, before working with a prestigious design firm in Savannah. With her return to South Carolina, Ashley brings a unique blend of artistic vision and project management expertise. Complementing the team is Cora, a junior designer and studio manager who strengthens client relationships and assists with project development. Ashley and Cora are both proficient in Chief Architect, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Together, they craft inspired and functional spaces for a diverse range of projects.
